Minulost se hlásí o slovo a jeden vystrašený psychiatr s polepšeným gangsterem jí budou muset čelit

Mafiánský boss Paul Vitti je pár dní před propuštěním z věznice Sing Sing a agenti FBI se začínají rojit. Vypadá to na další zhroucení a tak je opět povolán doktor Sobel, aby nahlédl do temnot gangsterovy duše. A dojde k nejhoršímu. Vitti je podmínečně propuštěn s tím, že se o něj dr. Sobel bude starat dnem i nocí. A co hůř ubytuje si ho u sebe doma. Vitti se snaží začlenit se do běžného života seč mu síly stačí, jenže práce ve zlatnictví, restauraci, či prodejně aut se dá jen těžko sladit s návyky všemocného mafiána..
