根据日本SNK公司出品的同名格斗游戏The King Of Fighters（简称KOF）改编，在香港又名“格斗之王”，在中国乃至世界范围内都拥有极高的人气，是一款与《街霸》齐名的2D格斗游戏。游戏中的多个角色魅力无穷，人物关系也引人入胜，这些无疑给真人电影的改编制造了巨大的难度。从目前曝光的花絮来看，真人版电影在人物造型上与游戏原作相去甚远，这点上估计很难获得游戏迷的肯定。
