Stolarek odbywa rehabilitację w Konstancinie. Jest załamany, dopiero Grażyna pomaga mu w przezwyciężeniu kryzysu psychicznego. Tymczasem z USA nadchodzi oferta - 300 tysięcy dolarów za Karino. Wszyscy są zgodni, że konia należy sprzedać. Grażyna rozpacza, próbuje interweniować. Małecki, który również jest bardzo przywiązany do Karino, stara się nauczyć konia, jak ma kuleć, żeby zniechęcić potencjalnych nabywców.
